I recommend lunarpages to all of my friends and visitors. Have been hosting websites with them almost an year and so far it has been great!

Lunarpages in general specializes in shared,reseller, vps and dedicated linux and windows hosting. However they have different specific hosting solutions:
ASP, PHP, mysql , blog , ajax, ruby on rails, cpanel, personal website hosting, fantastico, business web hosting, ecommerce and more.

There are several hosting plans:

Basic $6,95 a month (24 months), $4.95 (24 months) - which is quite good for beginners, you get free domain name with unlimeted disk space/bandwidth, PHP, mysql, support, JSP, ASP included.

Business plan - which good for anyone whose business is online.

LPQuicksite - where they design your site.

Mini-mail hosting and mega-mail hosting for you e-mail needs.

Windows hosting with support for ASP, ASP .NET, with plesk control panel.

Linux and Windows virtual private servers so you can have your own virtual system if you need specif application for your website or service.

Reseller hosting where you can create your own custom plans and sell to other people.

Dedicated servers where you have your own server and can install operating system as well manage and install apps.

I prefer the basic hosting deal because it's really cool for bloggers and other type of sites.
